1/2 cup Canola oil
1/2 cup chopped onion
5 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
4 tablespoons soy sauce
2 to 3 cups vegetable broth
2 teaspoons Marmite
Saute the onions until they are very soft. Gravy isn’t supposed to be crunchy.
Saute the garlic too.
Add the flour and the soy sauce and whisk.
Add the vegetable broth a bit at a time, keeping it simmering.
Wisk in the Marmite.
Stop adding broth when it is smooth and the consistency you want.
